Licensing

Some existing artwork may be available for licensing. Where a piece is already spoken for, or no longer fits the project, a new work can sometimes be created for the same brief.

Availability is limited — time is much more constrained than it once was, given family and large scale projects. Every enquiry is considered individually.

Where the work is used

Album & Single Artwork

Sleeve, cover and release artwork for recordings. Existing pieces can be licensed where the piece suits the project, or a new work can be commissioned for it.

Editorial & Publication

Print features, books, journals and long-form editorial illustration, where the work is reproduced as part of an article or publication.

Merchandise & Product

Prints, apparel, homewares and physical products. Terms differ by production run and by whether the design is modified.

Audiovisual & Media

Film, documentaries, streaming titles, games and motion work — including stills used as key art or inside a production.

Commercial Campaigns

Brand and advertising use, including campaigns for third-party brands. Scoped per placement and per term.

Projection, VJ & Live

Live visuals, projection mapping and VJ sets, including stills woven into a show alongside moving work.

How terms are set

Licensing terms depend on the project. What matters is where the work will appear, for how long, in what territory, whether it is modified, how many units are produced, and whether the artwork is exclusive to that one use or remains available elsewhere.

Rates are quoted per project rather than published as a list — a fixed price table would misrepresent work that ranges from a single sleeve to a full campaign. No fees are listed here because none apply universally.

Existing work is licensed as-is unless an alternative is agreed. Modifications, extensions, or new versions of a piece are treated as new work.

Start an enquiry

It helps to include the intended use, your timeline, where it will appear, and any works you have in mind. If you would rather describe the project first and discuss which piece fits, that works too.

Usage terms, copyright ownership and permitted reproduction are set out on the copyright page.
